Post 5. What did I learn from this project? 150 words minimum with image.

This is the finished product. Dinner was good this night . I learned that I need to stop second guessing myself. I also learned that I really have a passion for cooking and th e need to learn how to cook smaller portions of food. I grew up in a house with 13 siblings, and sometimes their spouses and children would stay with us. I have a big family, and that’s sort of where my passion for cooking, baking, and creating started. We always had huge family dinners, and everyone sort of had their own specialty dish that they would create and bring to the dinner. Cousin Tyrece was the best potato salad maker, and Uncle Everett always made the best taverns. Mom always had the best pozole . I never really had my own specialty dish, because I was always making something different and there was never any left to take home. Just simply cooking a meal and baking reminds me of home, with a house full of family and friends.

I finished up the dish by mixing all the ingredients together, the pasta blended well with the sauce, I mixed in the chicken, and bacon, then topped it with some more bacon. I had my boyfriend take a sample bite for the sauce, and he loved it! I should've gotten a picture of his expression, because his reaction was everything because this guy was a size M when I met him, and he is now a size L , he is the main person I cook for as well as myself. I ended up adding a side dish of Brussel sprouts, which were glazed with a small amount of honey and brown sugar, and some bacon pieces that I had purchased at Walmart as well , it was a simple heat up dish by Martha Stewart, and it went well with the dish itself. I was going to steam some broccoli, but I chose Brussel sprouts because we always have broccoli.

Post 3. What are the good things happening and what are the bad things happening? 150 words minimum with image

As I figured with my sauce, it got very thick immediately. I started with the heavy whipping cream, and added some parmesan, moz zarella, and the seasonings, paprika, red pepper flakes, pepper, garlic salt, and dried parsley flakes, onion salt, and 2% milk. I probably should have waited to add the mozzarella , because that is what I think made it thicken up the fastest,   but if you have eaten at O live G arden before you know that your alfredo pasta sauce is not as creamy when you take it home and decide to heat it up later. I tried to make everything as fresh as possible. I panicked when the sauce started to thicken, I started to add the milk to make it a bit creamier. Overall, the taste of the sauce was good , and not too full of seasonings like I guessed it would be. I just wanted it to taste good at this point.

I began to cut up my bacon and chicken. I used chicken thighs. I season ed my chicken with red p epper flakes, paprika, garlic salt, onion salt, oregano, salt, and pepper. I fried the bacon first and reserved some of the grease once it was done. I used the grease to fry the chicken . While doing that I had my water boiling and added the linguine. The bacon took a few minutes to fry up, and the chicken t ook a little longer, while I watched the pasta get done. I was nervous because when I cook, I can’t cook one thing at a time, I usually have everything simultaneously going so that it all gets done and comes together in a timely manner. I was worried I was going to over, or under cook something. Slowly, it was all coming together the way I wanted it too. It smelled yummy at this point.                                                         ...

Post 1. How did I get started? 150 words minimum with image.

I started out on TikTok researching the type of dish I wanted to make. I originally wanted to make an appetizer, main dish, and of course dessert. Unfortunately, time was not on my side, and I went with a small simple dish. This dish is known as a Chicken , bacon, alfredo, linguine. I used many seasonings that I had purchased from Walmart such as garlic salt, paprika, red pepper flakes, oregano, onion salt, salt, and pepper. The ingredients I used to create the sauce consisted of heavy whipping cream, parmesan cheese , and a small amount of m ozzarella cheese. I was not sure how the Alfredo Sauce was going to turn out because I have never made my own at home, although I know it may not be very hard , a chicken alfredo dish is not a dish I have in my usual cooking routine . I was nervous about how my sauce would turn out.
